Loni, being a district in Ghaziabad enjoys a stature of a part of Delhi-NCR. The place has Inter State Bus Terminals, Metro stations, National Highways and State Highways in the near vicinity. With proposed Delhi metro expansion, the connectivity of the locale would further get enhanced. The Loni bus stand facilitates the commutation in and out of the district with respect to other places in Ghaziabad and Delhi-NCR.
Loni district has quick connectivity to some of the national and state highways. nh24 which connects New Delhi to Lucknow via Bareilly is 30 minutes drive away; with National Highway 58 that connects Ghaziabad to Badrinath having direct access via State Highway 57 connecting Delhi to Yamunotri via Baghpat is at 5 minutes driving distance from the place. The nh91 from Delhi to Kanpur is also in the vicinity.
An eight-lane wide expressway, with each lane being 14 meters wide is under construction which would connect Khajuri Khas on east side of Yamuna bank to Ring road on west side of Yamuna Bank. This is India’s first mega project in terms of architecture and construction. 575 meters long, this bridge would have a 150 meters tall Central Pylon (twice the height of Qutub Minar). A bow shaped expressway made up of steel would enhance the North Eastern Delhi’s traffic congestion. Construction of this iconic expressway is being handled by Gammon India with a German Design firm and Tensacciai Italy.
Currently the Blue Line metro running between Dwarka to Yamuna Bank has been expanded till Vaishali connecting Anand Vihar Bus Terminal to Delhi.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation along with Ghaziabad Development Authority has proposed the expansion of Delhi Metro in IV phase of development. The Red-line connecting Rithala to Shahdara would further reach out to Ghaziabad New Bus Terminal. This expansion would ease out the daily traffic of entire Ghaziabad region to Delhi.
